Compliance with Local Authority and Statutory requirements/regulations are a given when you choose Student Lettings Point.
Your safety and security are high priority and we go the extra mile.
Typical specification in our houses;
- Fully integrated Fire Alarm, with smoke and heat detectors and manual glass units.
- The alarm is serviced six monthly for both electrical safety and correct operation.
- Fire doors fitted throughout to stop the spread of fire for up to 30 minutes.
- A Fire extinguisher and a fire blanket are located in the kitchen.
- Fire escape routes are clearly identified.
- Emergency lighting fitted to communal areas to assist your escape. This is tested at monthly intervals to check its correct operation, at six monthly intervals, the check extends to a 1 hour period and annually for three hours.
- All electrical wiring complies with the latest standards and carries a NICEIC certificate.
- All electrical appliances are PAT (Portable Appliances Tested) and certified annually.
- An annual Gas Safety Inspection has been undertaken by a Gas Safe registered engineer and the relevant Gas Safe safety certificate obtained.
- Gas Safety Inspections by a Gas Safe registered engineer are carried out annually.
- All furniture and furnishings comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations.
Copies of the relevant certificates are displayed on the Notice Board.
At Check In we provide a Health and Safety and Important Information pack to provide you with further information to help keep you safe and secure.
Last but by no means least, all our staff and contractors are security checked, carry I.D. when visiting our student properties and are happy to show it.
